The old turquoise has been beautifully set within the sterling gau with a tiny coral. Ive placed tiny silver hematite between each cube cut Amethyst to show off how gorgeous the cuts are. Also, a singular asymetric pure silver bead is placed to force others to take a double take at you. Cause you know you want them too!!
I found three almost identical (save for the pattern on the turquoise) antique gau in Tucson several years back. I was waiting to create something special and i was excited to also find the unusual shape of this Amethyst I have paired it with.
I set one aside for me, and immediately sold its sister to a lovely new customer at a live event. Now, I putting the last one up. Take a good look at her, and ask any question becuase this one may not stay long.
Oh, and read in additional section about the gau if you would like to know more.

ABOUT OUR GAUs (PRAYER CONTAINERS)
Gaus are prayer containers from Nepal. Often oblong or round shape, they have a delicate back that is not hinged as it is not meant to be opened often.
Prayer containers, Gau's or mantra contianers have been worn for many centuries in India, Nepal and Tibet. Beautiful to look at, but more importantly, it carries a sacred wish, prayer or message near the heart of the person who wears it. Pull off the back gently to hold your scrolled message or mantra.
They be made of base metals, white metal, sterling silver and gold. This one is sterling silver.
To wear one, carefully remove the back with your pointer finger and thumb pads. - notice how you lay the back down as these are hand made and will only fit back one way. Inside you can write with in scroll the name or prayer of someone you wish to hold a safe space for. At New Years, you can set your intentions for yourself and wear the intentions close to you heart.
In India we call our prayer container a Kavach - which is Sanskrit for ARMOR. They are also many metals. The traditional shape are often a tube or square. Follow along in my newsletter to see when new ones hit as I shall be hunting in India this December 2024 for more!
